Frequently Asked Questions

Have a specific question about Date My Friend?
We’d love to hear from you. Send us an email and we'll get back to you soon.

When will you be in my city?

DMF is expanding to new cities each month. If you don’t see your city on our list yet, make sure to sign up with us so we can notify you as soon as we’re headed to your town. If you’d like to help us get to your town sooner, we’re always looking for friends in each city to help start local events. If you’d like to recommend your city or particular venues for DMF events or even help us host a DMF party, contact us at host@datemyfriend.net.

What is the age range?

Our current parties are attended by 20- and 30-something singles.  However, we hope to start parties soon that will be specifically for singles in their late 30's, 40's and 50's.

How much does it cost?

Prices will vary depending on the type of event.  Some parties take place at big venues and are opportunities for people to mix and mingle, other parties are more intimate (i.e., fewer people) and have special themes (e.g. Wine Tasting).

Can I bring a friend?

Date My Friend started as a friends inviting friends event. That being said, we have one simple rule: SINGLES ONLY. Feel free to bring and invite as many friends as possible as long as they’re SINGLE!!

What can I expect at a DMF event?

DMF is about meeting face-to-face, after all that's the only way to know if there's chemistry.  DMF parties range from main events that draw several hundred attendees to smaller, interest-based parties.  We know that singles prefer to meet other singles through friends. We pick hot spot venues, invite all our old and new friends along and facilitate, but not force introductions. It's a fun, no-pressure environment filled with hundreds of great, like-minded singles. Plus, it's an opportunity to see that not all the 'good ones' are taken.

What’s the ratio of men to women?

Our events have had consistent mixes of 50% men and 50% women.

How do I become a member?

To join the DMF community, get invitations to our events and take advantage of the DMF website, you need to register.  Click on the 'Registration' tab and follow the easy steps.

I haven't registered yet. Can I attend the events?

When you register we put you on our list for future parties - you'll receive our invitations every month and be able to forward the invites to your friends.  If you'd like to come to a party and check it out first, you can.  Hopefully you'll go home and register after the party.

Are you having trouble getting DMF emails?

Sadly some of the emails we send end up in bulk folders versus inboxes.  As the email providers (e.g. Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL) tighten their spam filters it unfortunately blocks legitimate email, like ours, as well.  To ensure that our emails get to you, add DMF@datemyfriend.net to your address book.  This way we won't end up in your junk/bulk folder.

Do you work with Charities?

DMF often partners with and donates to local charities. If your charitable organization is interested in working with DMF, please send a brief proposal to us at philanthropy@datemyfriend.net.

Do you only accept PayPal or can I use my credit card?

At this time, Date My Friend is only accepting payments via PayPal.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  If you have any problems, please contact us at payment@datemyfriend.net

How do I unsubscribe from your lists?

To remove your name from the DMF invite list, please send an email to dmf@datemyfriend.net and put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line.
